Gitignore

Quickly create a .gitignore file for your project by selecting from hundreds of templates. Supports both macOS and Windows.

Features

• Browse Templates: Search through hundreds of gitignore templates organized by language, framework, and tool
• Favourites: Pin frequently used templates to the top for quick access
• Auto-Select Favourites: Automatically select your favourite templates when opening the extension (optional)
• Preview: Preview gitignore contents before creating your file
• Quick Actions: Copy to clipboard or paste directly to your active application

Usage

1. Open Raycast and search for "Gitignore"
2. Browse or search for the templates you need
3. Select one or more templates
4. Use the "Create .gitignore" option to:
   • Copy to clipboard
   • Paste directly to your app
   • Preview the contents

Favourites

• Press ⌘⇧P (or Ctrl + . on Windows) to add/remove templates from your favourites
• Favourites appear at the top in a dedicated section
• Enable "Auto Select Favorites" in preferences to automatically select favourites when opening the extension

Keyboard Shortcuts

• ⌘⇧P / Ctrl + .: Toggle favourite status (Pin)
• ⌘Y / CtrlY: Preview selected templates
• ⌘⇧↩ / Ctrl⇧↩: Paste to active application

Preferences

• Preview: Enable/disable file preview in the gitignore list (default: enabled)
• Auto Select Favorites: Automatically select favourites when opening the extension (default: enabled)
